How it’s Going

Up until that point in time, I didn’t know what I wanted to do after my time at community college. But after everything that happened in that last semester really helped in deciding my path to becoming a graphic designer. It wasn’t something I gave much forethought to nor was it something I dreamed about when I was a kid. It all kind of just happened. After graduating from Erie Community College, I took a break the following semester before making my final decision. Weird timing too since Covid just hit the world and threw everything out of wack.

Since then, I’ve enrolled at SUNY Buffalo State University with a BFA in Graphic Design. As for outside of school, I’ve had my work featured in multiple art shows, even winning some awards for it, doing countless of freelanced work for friends, non-profit groups, museums, and small businesses. I experimented with other forms of media like typography, video, 3d graphics and so on in my major but still found myself most at home with design and illustrations. But, I do incorporate some of these elements into my work. While my work has improved and evolved over time, I still hold that first piece very highly. It gave me a sense of direction and what I wanted to do. So I saw the green signal, head forth into the night and haven’t looked back.
