About Me

I’ve always enjoyed creating things. Growing up, I explored different ways to express that creativity from sketching in my notebooks, creating small fun videos with friends, photography, model building, to the illustrations I do now.

Passion Driven

I’ve always had a strong interest in railroad infrastructure and history. Where it exactly started I’m not entirely for sure. From visiting countless museums, doing hours of research, watching older film and slides, viewing technical drawings and plans and so on. Originally that interest was expressed primarily through photography for a good handful of years. It allowed me to visit places I’d never think about seeing before, meeting new people who’d later become close friends, and creating tons of fun memories along the way.

Engineering and Art

While railroads are the primary subject of what a lot of work covers, I have a strong interest in mechanical engineering. Mostly with machines and transportation infrastructure as a whole. Planes, trains, automobiles, and so on. I’ve always been a more visual and hands-on learner, so maybe it was always the motion factor, or how each part in a design had a certain function that made the whole thing work that always capture my attention. So attention to the smaller details is one of the primary things I try to recreate. Or trying to create motion on a 2D canvas.
